It's no doubt that soy is super tasty and uber good for you, but recent studies have shown that the more soy a person consumes, the more weight they lose; plus, soy also aids in glucose control and increases the good cholesterol that we've heard so much about. Since the American diet isn't all that soy-centric, and the health food aisle in your grocery store might still be a little scary to some, here are our favorite easy-peasy ways to sneak a little extra soy into your daily life.
But seriously, check out lots of easy ways to incorporate soy into your diet. Soy milk actually tastes better than cow's milk in your morning oatmeal, and chunks of extra firm tofu masquerade as very legitimate pieces of feta cheese in an Italian pasta salad. And if you still think tofu is scary, take one look at Jaden's crispy tofu. If that doesn't make your mouth water, then you might actually want to try the edamame under the pillow thing instead. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |

See, soy foods fall under my "I don't get it" category. It seems like for every positive study, like the ones you pointed out, there's one that is all "Bewaaaaare the estrogen and the badness!"
This is why sometimes I hate science.
I agree with Marianne. I keep hearing that too much estrogen is bad. Especially if you're trying to get pregnant. AND soy acts like estrogen in your system and can cause you to have a harder time conceiving because it's like taking a birth control pill. Ugh, it's all so confusing.
Yeah, I think the closest I'm going to get to more soy really is endamame beans under my pillow. (And - spoiler - no way I'm doing that! lol)
I love edamame-I don't think under my pillow though! Thanks for the laughs!
